Our chaplains go through suitability assessment and an accreditation process before being approved by the Humanist Association of Ireland. You are welcome to contact any of the individual chaplains listed below directly or Oisin Carey, Chair, Chaplaincy Committee on firstname.lastname@example.org
PLEASE NOTE: Chaplains do not do any ceremonies; weddings, funerals or naming ceremonies. Please contact the ceremonies team for these services.
Joe Armstrong was accredited as a Humanist chaplain in 2013. Joe is uniquely qualified to serve as Humanist chaplain based on the fact he spent nine years training for the Roman Catholic priesthood during which time his pastoral work included visiting patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and people in prisons. He has also set up a bereavement support group in Clonskeagh. Having been a committed believer and now a convinced Humanist, Joe can communicate and empathise with Humanists of all backgrounds. Joe lives near Kells, Co. Meath, only an hour from Dublin.

Norma, a committed Humanist, also serves as a celebrant. She feels privileged at the number of people who have invited her into their lives to conduct weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies. She now looks forward to serving the Humanist community in her role as Humanist chaplain.
